Mr Vella heads entire publications and organizes the largest business awards in Malta & Gozo

Martin Vella is an accomplished CEO, premier event organizer, and award-winning journalist with vast experience in designing successful marketing concepts and campaigns. As the Editor-in-Chief of the Malta Business Review, Martin made history by becoming the very first Maltese national to win the prestigious Best Journalist in the Mediterranean Region (including Italy and France) award. This double honor was bestowed by the Global Business Awards, managed by Corporate Vision, UK, for 2025 and 2026 consecutively.

Backed by a robust academic foundation, Martin holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons) in Marketing, Sales Management, PR, and Media from Robert Kennedy College. Furthermore, he achieved a Distinction with Honours across BBA, MBA, MSc, and LL.M programmes in Marketing, PR, Sales, and Business Management from Cambridge International College, UK.

Throughout his career, Martin has held executive positions with three growth-stage companies and was a vital member of a turnaround team that successfully implemented new start-up campaigns. Serving as an International Business Development Manager, he was the first under an ERDF-sponsored scheme to generate a historic sale of over €100,000 in Maltese corporate wear from the Gulf region.

On the international stage, Mr. Vella serves as a Special Rapporteur for the European Commission with ICF MOSTRA (part of ICF, a global consulting and technology provider with over 5,000 professionals) and GOPA Com. This institution develops and implements bespoke communication strategies for the European Commission, the European Parliament, and EU agencies, ensuring their goals are effectively communicated to citizens and stakeholders worldwide
